Pausing notifications
Pause for a while
Open your profile menu (on a phone, the drawer) and choose Pause
notifications. Pick 30 minutes, an hour, two hours, later today, tomorrow
morning, Monday morning, or type a time up to a week ahead.
While paused, nothing reaches your phone, desktop or inbox. Messages still
arrive in OneCamp. On a computer your avatar shows a bell with a line through
it, and the menu says when the pause ends. Choose it again to Resume notifications early.
The /dnd command does the same: /dnd 45 minutes, /dnd 2 hours, or/dnd off.
Quiet hours
In your notification settings, under Quiet hours, turn them on and set when they start
and end in your time zone. Push notifications and emails wait until quiet hours
end. A window can cross midnight, for example 22:00 to 07:00.
When a teammate has paused
In a direct message with someone whose notifications are paused or in quiet
hours, a line above the message box says so and until when. If it really can't
wait, press Notify anyway: their devices get one urgent ping. You can do this
once a day per person.
Good to know
- A pause covers all your devices, because it's kept on the server.
- Emails held by a pause or by quiet hours are sent when it ends, not dropped.
Available from OneCamp v2.44.0 (with AI) and v1.29.0 (without AI).
