Setup flow

Import from Asana, monday.com, ClickUp and more

Bring your projects from Asana, monday.com, ClickUp, Jira, Linear, Trello,
Notion or Todoist
into OneCamp: projects with their tasks, subtasks, statuses,
assignees, dates, comments and files. A workspace admin runs it from
Admin → Import, and nothing is written until you've seen the plan.

What comes across

From Becomes
Workspaces, teams, spaces Teams
Projects, boards, lists, databases Projects
Tasks, items, issues, cards Tasks, with their status, priority, assignee, start and due dates and labels
Subtasks, subitems, sub-issues Subtasks
Comments and updates Comments, in the order they were written
Attached files Attachments on the task or comment

People are matched to OneCamp accounts by email. Anyone not found is added, so
every task keeps its owner and every comment its author; invite them later and
they pick up where they left off.

How to run it

  1. Open Admin → Import and pick where you're coming from.
  2. Connect: paste a token from the other tool (where to find it is below).
Tokens are encrypted on your server and never shown again.
  3. Start an import, choosing what to bring: a workspace, a board or a
    project, depending on the tool.
  4. Plan: OneCamp counts what it found (people, projects, tasks, comments,
files) and lists every status it saw. Pick the OneCamp status each one
becomes; common ones are filled in for you.
  5. Run. Progress shows as it goes. If something can't come across, the
import carries on and lists it under Errors.
  6. Changed your mind? Roll back takes out everything that import made.

Where to find the token

Tool What to paste
Asana A personal access token from its developer console (app.asana.com/0/my-apps)
monday.com Your avatar → Developers → My access tokens → Show
ClickUp Settings → Apps → API token
Jira Your email, an API token (id.atlassian.com → Security) and your site's address
Linear Settings → API → a personal API key
Trello Your API key and a token (trello.com/app-key)
Notion An internal integration token; share the task databases with the integration first
Todoist Settings → Integrations → Developer → API token

The import sees what that token's person can see. Use an account that can open
everything you want to bring.

Notes by tool

  • monday.com: the Status column (or the item's group) becomes the
status, the people column the assignee, a timeline or date columns the dates,
and tags the labels. Other columns are kept as a list in the task's
description. Documents aren't boards and are left out.
  • ClickUp and Linear: subtasks and sub-issues come across under their
    parents.
  • Notion: each task database becomes a project and each row a task. Pages
are copied over by hand for now.
  • Slack history has its own import; see the Slack bridge
for running both side by side while people move.

Imports are in every edition of OneCamp, the free one included. monday.com
import is in v2.58.0 (with AI) and v1.43.0 (without AI).
