Product launch

Two weeks to launch day: positioning, the page, the post, the emails and a retro.

  1. Week 1

    • Write the positioning brief

      Day 3 · High priority

Who it's for, the problem it solves, why now, and the one sentence everyone will repeat.

  2. Week 2

    • Draft the launch page

Day 3 to Day 8 · High priority

Lead with the problem and the one sentence from the brief. One clear call to action.

    • Check pricing and plans

      Day 8 · Medium priority

The numbers on the page, the checkout and the docs all say the same thing.

    • Record a short demo

      Day 11 · Medium priority

Two minutes or less, one take is fine. Show the problem, then the product solving it.

    • Write the announcement post

      Day 11 · Medium priority

What's new, who it helps and how to try it. Link the demo.

    • Email existing customers

      Day 14 · Medium priority

Short and personal: what changed for them and the one thing to try first.

  3. Week 3

    • Launch day

      Day 15 · High priority

Keep this task open all day and tick the steps off as they go out.

      • Publish the page and the post
      • Send the emails
      • Share it where our people are
      • Answer every question within the hour
  4. Week 4

    • Launch retro

      Day 22 · Low priority

Thirty minutes: the numbers, what worked, and what we'd do differently next time.
