New hire onboarding

From a week before their first day to the 90-day review: accounts, a buddy and check-ins.

  1. Week 1

    • Send the welcome email

      Day 1 · High priority

The start date and time, where to go, who to ask for, and what to bring.

    • Set up their accounts

      Day 4 · High priority

Every account ready before their first morning, so day one isn't spent waiting for access.

      • Email
      • Invite to OneCamp and their team's channels
      • The tools for their role
      • Payroll and documents
    • Get their laptop ready

      Day 5 · High priority

Set up, updated and signed in to the basics, with the password manager and two-factor sign-in ready.

    • Pick a buddy

      Day 6 · Medium priority

Someone outside their reporting line to ask the questions they won't ask their manager.

  2. Week 2

    • First day: welcome, tour and lunch

      Day 8 · High priority

They meet the team, see where things are, and have lunch with their buddy. Nothing urgent on day one.

    • Walk through how we work

      Day 9 · Medium priority

The handbook, the policies, and where things live in OneCamp.

    • Their first small task, shipped

      Day 12 · Medium priority

Something real and small, done in their first week.

  3. Week 4

    • Two-week check-in

      Day 22 · Medium priority

Thirty minutes with their manager: what's clear, what isn't, and what they need.

  4. Week 6

    • 30-day check-in

      Day 38 · Medium priority

What they've done, what's slowing them down, and their goals for the next two months.

  5. Week 14

    • 90-day review

      Day 98 · Medium priority

How the first three months went against the goals set at 30 days, and what comes next.
