What's new

Dependencies

  • A task can wait on other tasks of its project (finish to start). On the Timeline, drag the handle at the end of a bar onto the task that waits on it; in a task's panel, Dependencies lists what it waits on and what it blocks, and Waits on… adds one. Arrows are grey while the plan holds and red when the waiting task starts before the other is due; finished work never breaks one.
  • A task still waiting on open work shows a lock and how many it waits on, on the board, in the list and on its bar.
  • Moving a task later moves the tasks waiting on it along, just far enough to start the day after it's due, keeping how long each runs and its times of day; their own waiting tasks follow. Nothing moves earlier; finished tasks, tasks without dates and clashes the move didn't cause are left alone. Turn it off with View → Move waiting tasks along. Each task moved says so in its history.
  • Loops are refused, including two links made at the same moment in opposite directions: each change stamps its project (project_dependencies_at), so concurrent changes conflict and the second sees the first. Adding a link that exists, or removing one that doesn't, changes nothing and writes nothing.
  • New: POST /task/dependency and /task/dependency/delete {task_uuid, blocked_by_uuid}; POST /task/updateTaskDates takes shift_dependents and tz, and answers with the tasks it moved.

Every project on a timeline

  • Projects has a Timeline view beside the table: each project is one bar from the first day of its tasks to the last, filled as far as they're done and coloured by its health. A bar opens the project's own timeline.

Workload

  • Projects → Workload (or Ctrl/⌘ K → Go to Workload) shows each person's open tasks week by week across every project you're in, against their capacity (5 a week unless set). Weeks over capacity are red with a warning sign; people are sorted busiest first; Overdue, No dates and a Nobody row show the rest. Search and Needs attention narrow it.
  • A week opens on its tasks: open one, move it a week later (an overdue one to next week), or give it to someone in its project, those with the most room that week first. Anyone sets their own capacity; a workspace admin sets anyone's. The view is in the address (?view=workload).
  • New: GET /project/workload?tz=&weeks= and POST /project/workload/capacity {user_uuid, tasks_per_week}.

Live date changes

  • A task's new dates reach everyone with its project open, the mover's other tabs included: board, list, timeline and an open task change without a refresh. A long chain moved by a dependency repaints once.
