Timeline

  • Every project has a Timeline tab beside List and Board: each task is a bar from its start date to its due date, grouped by status (or assignee, or none), with today marked, Days / Weeks / Months, and open work past its due date outlined in red.
  • A project's admins drag a bar to move a task, drag either end to change when it starts or is due, drop a task from Unscheduled onto a day to make it due then, or use the arrow keys (Shift for the due date; a run of presses is one change). Dates keep their time of day. Each change shows at once on the board and the list and goes into the task's history.
  • Moves of one task are saved in order, and a move the server refuses is put back and explained. The timeline opens with the plan in view, keeps the same days in view when a panel opens beside it, and on a phone shows the plan (a tap opens the task).
  • New: GET /project/{id}/timeline, and POST /task/updateTaskDates to set both dates in one change.

Your client sees the plan too

  • A project shared with a client (its guest link) can be read as a Timeline as well as a board, read-only: the client sees when each task starts and is due, and opens any of them. The client's task cards now carry the start date.

Every project on one page

  • Projects (now All projects in the sidebar) shows every project you're in: its health from the latest update, how much is done, what's open, overdue and due this week in your own time zone, and when it was last updated. Needs attention narrows it to projects off track, at risk or with overdue work; sort by name, attention, least done or oldest update. New: GET /project/overview?tz=.

Fixes

  • A date changed in a task's panel didn't show on the board or the list until they were loaded again.
  • A deleted task could stay on the project's board until it was loaded again.
  • Changing the dates of a task someone had just deleted brought it back; it's now refused.
