Clips
- Record a voice note, a video of yourself, or your screen with your voice over it, from any message box: the microphone beside the paperclip. Pause and resume, play it back, then attach it to your message and send it like any file.
- A clip runs up to five minutes, or the workspace's limit for a file (Admin → General → Maximum upload size), whichever comes first; the recorder shows about how long is left and stops at the limit, keeping what was recorded. Nothing leaves the browser until the message is sent.
- Voice clips are saved as audio (
.weba,.m4aor.ogg, by browser) and play as audio; video and screen clips play as video. Imports file a.webaattachment as audio too.
Fixed on 9 October, in the web app: a page could sign you out when it briefly couldn't load your profile, after a network blip or a server error, rather than only when your session had ended. Now it keeps you signed in and offers to try again. Run make web_up in your OneCamp folder (or make update) to rebuild the web app, or redeploy your frontend if you host it elsewhere.
Fixes
- The DM list arrives on a link straight into a chat. Opening a chat from a link (a notification, say) showed only that conversation in the list until the next refresh, minutes later, and a reload into a chat could keep the last visit's lists. The conversation you have open also no longer shows an unread count from a list fetched just before you read it.
- When the live connection comes back after a break of more than half a minute, your conversations, channels, tables and docs stay on screen while they catch up, instead of going blank to a loading state.
- The typing indicator names people as a sentence does: "Maya and Jonas are typing", then "Maya, Jonas and 2 others", as read receipts do.
- The flow of work in Reports reads only the status changes from each task's history, so a report reads less.
